The PeGASus

The Centre newsletter is called the PeGASus. It contains articles on Astronomy and has a local flavor as it is written mainly by local members. In it you will find notices of star parties, events at the Observatory, meteor showers, and eclipses. We have been publishing a newsletter since 1986.

If you would like to submit an article to our newsletter please e-mail it to the PeGASus editor Gil Self.  Any article related to the Prince George Astronomical Society or to Astronomy is acceptable.  The article should be original and authored by you.  You do not need to be a club member to submit an article.

Here is a listing of all newsletters published by the Prince George Astronomical Society (now Royal Astronomical Society – Prince George Centre). This page holds the history of our club. Enjoy!

To view some of the newsletters you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or better.

Newspaper Articles

In addition to the PeGASus newsletter, the history of the Prince George Astronomical Society and now that of the RASC Prince George Centre has been recorded by the local media. Below are the articles that we have collected over the years.

If you have an article pertaining to our club and would like to submit it for posting to this website please scan it in a high quality jpg format and e-mail it to Glen Harris. Don’t forget to include the publication it came from, date, title, and description.
